    The December 26^th Tsunami destroyed the lobby and first floor of Club One Seven Bed & Breakfast.    

    It would be best if we could continue where we were but that’s impossible. Altho we rented the building,
    the landlord wanted us to rebuild and refurnish the destroyed areas, yet he collected the insurance.

    Club One Seven Bed & Breakfast was a success with many reservations for the 2nd season. The tsunami
    stopped our future.

    After Keong, a fellow shareholder, drowned while running up the stairs to escape the waters, we
    seriously considered abandoning this entire project but after discussing the matter over with some of our
    shareholders, Daniel (our Manager), some of our former guests, and local people of influence and
    importance, we grew increasingly confident that Phuket would recover, grow and attract back large
    numbers of tourists.  Although our sense of loss is still sharp and painful, we feel we have to move on.

    We need to buy property in order to develop it in ways that we know will attract and satisfy our special
    kind of guests.
